Read it again.

Sometimes, there are lyrics that can not just be read. There are words that cannot just be sung. They must be read over and over again. The power of them must slowly fill you.

For me, this song is sung many times. Some days, I sing the words, skim right past them, and don’t dwell on their meaning. Not today. Today I urge you to read them with me. Reflect on them. Read them over a few times. Don’t just skip past them again, like I do. Focus on the truth they hold. Read it again.

The mountains shake before You.

The demons run and flee

At the mention of the name King of Majesty.

There is no power in hell,

Or any who can stand,

Before the power and the presence of the great I AM…

The great I AM, the great I AM.

Hallelujah, holy, holy.

God Almighty, the great I AM.

Who is worthy, none beside Thee.

God Almighty, the great I AM.

  1. Hello there, TLDHG, Thank you for sending us these lyrics. I confess that this song was new to me. I wasn’t satisfied with just the words, though, so I went on YouTube and found the piece played and sung by a band. I was able to hear the music AND the words together. They are full of Truth! I’m sorry to say, Keri, that I neglected to answer your February 19 e-mail. It was the one in which you detailed the classes you have this semester. Very busy schedule, but I know you can do it. In fact, as you’ve often said yourself, you LIKE to be busy. You certainly are THAT! Even though I didn’t specifically answer that e-mail, I do remember that I responded to your next blog, so I hope you got that at the time. I hope you and Susanna were able to get together this past weekend when she was here from Syracuse. I think you planned to get together on Friday. Can you believe that trip to Europe she took? Amazing! Please forgive me for not answering that earlier e-mail. I’ll do better next time. Honest Injun! Love you lots! TLGHG
